What to ask before buying any booking app

Most booking apps demo beautifully. These six questions surface the differences that matter after month one.

1. Does payment go through my checkout?

If the answer involves a second provider, you have two payment systems and two sets of numbers forever.

2. Can a customer buy a booking and a product together?

If not, every mixed sale becomes two transactions and two shipping decisions.

3. Can it express what I actually sell?

Blocks, courses, terms, multi-session work. If the model is only "one appointment", the profitable product is the one it cannot handle.

4. What happens when a slot is full?

A sold-out slot should capture an email, not lose the visitor.

5. Do discount codes and gift cards work on bookings?

They do if bookings are cart items. They do not if bookings live outside the cart.

6. What happens to my data if I leave?

If your customer list lives in the app rather than your store, you are renting your own audience.
